Lucky Mutts Annual Benefit Barbecue: Labor Day Weekend

The barbecue was a blast and we raised quite a bit of money and recieved over 200 pounds of pet food for Katrina victims.


The Civilians, touted as Led Zepplin and Sublime's love child, started the afternoon of entertainment. They played some of their wonderful original tunes as well as some old time favorite covers - the perfect combination of "barbecue" music!


Singer/songwriter Willie B followed with original songs about the world we live in. A native of Mississippi, he stuck around town to play for our benefit before heading to his home state to help out with the releif effort. After that trip, he heads to Europe to tour through 13 nations and drink in the culture of cousins abroad.

Finally, Rai Blend took the stage for some incredible acoustic jams featuring a violin, mandolin and guitar. These folks were the perfect headliner for our event and we can't wait to hear them again!
The beatiful and talented Nakia of Ancient Art Henna Designs created wonderful henna tatoos at the event.
