Adoption Application

Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive a call or email and you will be able to set up a meeting with a dog in a foster home.

Please note:

  • We need you to supply three references. We will call two of them, the third will serve as a back up. This can save us all a lot of time if someone is out of town or busy.
  • Please provide the name of your current vet, we will call to make sure your current pets are up to date on shots and are spayed/neutered.
  • We only adopt pets to the greater Austin area. We do not adopt pets outside of Texas. Our limited resources and time prevent our doing home checks outside of Austin.
  • The adoption approval will only take a couple of days unless we can't get in touch with your references or the information you provide is not complete.
  • Note that having an approved application will allow you to meet dogs at their foster homes and if everyone decides it's a match, to adopt. An approved application does not mean that you get to adopt any dog sight unseen.
