Our Lucky Mutts
Need You!

We can always use
help at our adoption days, giving dogs baths, taking dogs on walks
and to appointments.
We also have lots
of ideas for help on our donations page.
Volunteering: Open Positions
FOSTER
MANAGER:
If you really want to help dogs find homes but can't foster one yourself,
try being a foster manager. Each manager is in contact with 5
of our foster homes and makes sure that they have the support
they need. Generally this includes things like helping to find
another foster to watch a dog while someone is out of town, helping
out with transportation in a pinch and helping "advertise" for
your particular fosters (post on craigslist, throw a "meet the
mutt" party, etc.). TIME
COMMITMENT: a few hours a week - mostly on the phone/internet
REFERRAL
MANAGER: Our referral manager does the vast majority
of the work through email. You would review incoming referral
dogs - call the vet to make sure they are healthy, read the description
and see if the dogs sounds appropriate (no comments about biting
the neighbor!) and then post the dog to the site. TIME
COMMITMENT:
maybe an hour a week - mostly on the phone/internet
PUBLIC
RELATIONS:
Lucky Mutts needs some PR! We are currently looking for people to
help get us published in the
local papers and magazines. Like most of our opportunities, no experience
is required, but if you already have contacts, that’s great! TIME
COMMITMENT: you determine!
GRANT
WRITER:
Do you have the skills to research appropriate grants and write proposals?
This could either be a one
time gig or an ongoing endeavor to help support our cause. TIME
COMMITMENT: you determine!
We also need help with our education group and legislation
group. Let us know if you are interested in either of those!
